So I haven't anything new to say about my wolves but I'm listening to my favourite 40k podcast and thought I'd throw it out there and see what other people think are among the best. My favourite is 'The Independent Characters' http://theindependentcharacters.com/. Whats your opinions?

So I know painting is a way off yet but I've put some thought into the scheme. I'd like a much whiter scheme with some icy blues and contrasting edge highlights. After all, I'm going with the name "Frost Wolves". so with that in mind I set about searching the internet for some hint of inspiration (or at least something I could try to replicate) and turned up this http://www.bluetablepainting.com/view_gallery.php?galleryID=3100. It's a Tyranid scheme from Blue Table Painting. The icy white blue colouring is exactly the sort of scheme I'm looking for! Forgive me Russ (and all you wolf fanatics out there) but I'm not sold on the standard blue/grey scheme.
Don't eat me!
So with this as a starting point, and the rummer of a new line of GW paints, I shall get down my local hobby store at some point and research some paints/washes. Once again, feedback is appreciated so if you have an idea on how this was achived, hit up a comment and me know!
So whilst looking at the model for the wolf lord on thunderwolf it occurred to me...I'm kind of stuck with the weapon options it comes with and that's not a lot! So I decided to test the skills of magnetisation strait from the off. Logging on to eBay I purchased some components and some 3mm by 1mm magnets. I,ve come to a decision on the load out of my lord. I'm going with the options of; Wolf Claws, Plasma Pistols, Thunder Hammer, Frost Axe and Storm Shields. I,ve got various parts for both sides all of which i will magnetise!
Some very detailed little bits!
I know I don't need two pairs of wolf claws for one Lord but that's what came and I'm sure I can use it elsewhere. I hope to have them magnetised by the end of the week and I will post photos once they are done, it shouldn't take long but with work I'll need to make time. I'm looking at getting the main finecast model in a week and a half. It'll be my first finecast so if you have any pointers feel free to comment.

Hi and welcome to my blog, to get right into it I picked up a codex, i tend to be carefull as with my luck I'll get one the day before the new release or something dumb like that! Anyway with that in mind I've started pouring over my shiny new dex getting exited about all the cool, kick ass units I can field. But let's not beat around the bush, first things first I need 1 HQ and 2 Troop choices. Let's start with the HQ. I've decided to go with a wolf lord on a thunderwolf. Bad ass model and looks like a good unit as well. I'm not going to get all maths-hammerey as I'm more interested in the fact the model looks so freaking cool! Anyway I'll update soon with the first purchase, a chapter name and some scheme ideas.
